Copper anti seize is for the assembly of all threaded connections subject to high temperatures such as:- spark plug threads, cylinder head and exhaust manifold studs, high temperature and/or corrosive environments. It is also suitable for application to gaskets and packing. For all these applications, the products make dis-assembly possible without welding or seizure.
Benefits
Copper anti seize helps to prevent two major seizing problem which is called galling and fretting. Galling is when two metals are in contact and the friction produce heat high enought to weld the metals together. This led to the breakage or torn of the thread during tighten or loosen the nut. Fretting happened when two metals in contact experiencing oscillation and cause rupture of the material. Fretting always caused the metals to fatigue crack and decrease the fatigue strength of the materials.
